Kaleva Travel Ltd is Finland’s largest privately owned and independent business travel agency offering a full range of services in both business travel and leisure travel. Our expertise and professionalism in the field go as far back as 1935. Kaleva Travel’s stockholders are Juuranto Group (www.juuranto.com) and the management of Kaleva Travel. Our total sales in Finland estimate for the financial period 2009 – 2010 is € 267 million. We have in Finland 16 offices and service outlets in 12 different locations. Kaleva Travel Group employs 400 travel industry professionals. 

Many of our clients have operations in the Baltic countries and our strong knowledge and skills concerning travel services in the Baltics enables us to provide them with a comprehensive range of services and with a level of expertise of the area expected from us. The office employs 64 people is the second largest travel agency in Estonia and has offices in Tallinn and Tartu. Its international partner is Carlson Wagonlit Travel (www.carlsonwagonlit.com).

Kaleva Travel SIA (www.kalevatravel.lv) which employs 20 people, is the second largest travel agency in Latvia and has its office in Latvia’s capital city Riga. It was founded in 1992 and has an equally full range of services in business and leisure travel. Also its international partner is Carlson Wagonlit Travel. In Lithuania Kaleva Travel Group includes

Kaleva Travel UAB (www.kalevatravel.lt) which was founded in 1995 and is situated in the capital city Vilnius. It takes care of its clients’ business travel. The office employes 10 people.

In Romania Kaleva Travel SRL (www.kalevatravel.fi/romania) Bucharest and Kaleva Travel SRL Cluj-Napoca are the newest Kaleva Travel offices. Offices were opened in summer 2007. Offices employ 21 people alltogether.

We analyze and consult the travel behavior of our clients and, based on the data collected, suggest concrete development procedures, which help to rationalize the process of travel management and through which notable savings can be achieved.

Our corporate clients are also served by our duty service number in urgent business travel matters for free and for charge. 24-hour call center services in English are provided also by our international partner Carlson Wagonlit Travel.
Kaleva Travel’s other areas of expertise include, for instance, the flexible leisure travel tours all over the globe (over 250 destinations), incentive travel and long-distance travel, city holidays, culturally oriented and activity oriented vacations, tours for groups, to conventions, as well as travel arrangements to Russia and CIS countries. We also count package tours to sporting events as one of our strong areas of expertise and offer tours with themes such as golf, Formula 1 racing (for groups) and different marathons held around the world.

Kaleva Travel’s staff receives continuous training and the company takes continuous steps to ensure the sufficiency of its service resources. These tasks are seen by Kaleva Travel School, which has specialized in the comprehensive training of the business travel sector. Our school is the only one of its kind in Finland. Its primary fields of activity are the training of new, professional business travel consultants for its parent company Kaleva Travel, keeping the present personnel’s skills up-to-date and organizing training days around travel themes for our corporate clients.
