Turvakoodin tarkoitus
Turvakoodi parantaa tietoturvaa, kun luottokorttia käytetään Internetissä.
Kun käytät luottokorttia Internetissä, syötä turvakoodi sekä kortin numero ja vanhenemis­päivä. Tämä ominaisuus parantaa maksamisen turvallisuutta Internetissä.

Mikä on turvakoodi?
Turvakoodi on kolmesta tai neljästä numerosta koostuva luku. Se näkyy useimpien luottokorttien kääntöpuolella. Jos kortissa ei ole turvakoodia, sen avulla voi silti tilata tuotteita ja palveluita Internetistä. Jos kortissa on turvakoodi, se on annettava pyydettäessä. Järjestelmä tarkistaa, että kortin numero, vanhenemispäivä ja turvakoodi täsmäävät.

Mistä löydän turvakoodin?
Luku voi olla eri paikoissa kortin tyypin mukaan. Numerot ovat useimmiten luottokortin kääntöpuolella. American Express luottokortin turvakoodi (cvc) on kortin etupuolella.

The purpose of the security code
The security code provides enhanced safety, when credit card transactions are processed on the Internet. When using your credit card on the Internet, you must enter the security code along with your card number, card holder name and expiration date.

What is the security code?
The security code is a 3 or 4-digit number, which is printed on the back of credit cards. The system will check that given data is correct.

Where do I find the security code?
The digits may be located in different places, depending on the cardtype. Usually, the digits are printed on the back side of your credit card, after the card number.
